Why is Supervision needed ?
Firstly, it is imperative that a Psychotherapist has Supervision in terms of support and protection, not only for himself but also with reference to the Supervisee’s Clients.
Secondly, to improve the ability of Therapists or Counsellors to provide value to their clients.
Thirdly, for Therapists to improve their level of skills so they can give a high quality of service to their clients.
Fourthly, it is an ethical requirement by most organisations that a Therapist has regular Supervision.
The opportunity for a Therapist to have Supervision is vital in developing a “inner” reflective practitioner.
